I have loved horses my entire life. Born and raised in England then moving to the United States in 1972. In England I was very active in the horse circle, attending and competing in many horse shows. My love for horses never faded. After I was married we had our home built on two acres with an additional 14 acres. My children grew up and competed in 4H. While we were attending a show I saw my very first Miniature horse. I could not take my eyes away. In all my life I had never seen a horse so small, I just had to have one.
I found a Miniature horse farm about 10 miles down the road. I went with every intention of buying a mare. I arrived at the Mini farm and the lady walked me out to the pasture. I would estimate there had to be around 75 miniatures. I thought to myself, this is going to be harder than I thought, so many to choose from. Then out of the herd came the tiniest little pinto foal that completely took my breath away. He walked towards me, as I to him. It was love at first sight.
We picked him up and put him in the front seat of my truck. He fit perfectly. He rode home like such a gentleman, that I decided to call him Wee Laddie.
Wee Laddie proved to be such a gentleman. He loved going to see people at Church and loved going to visit at the nursing homes.. After a few months, I felt he needed a companion. So,I went and purchased my first mare. Wee Lass. This was the start of my small farm in 1999. We now have a total of (2) stallions and (5) mares. Each and every foal that is born is loved and handled from birth. We take great care and pride in the miracle of birth, even though at times it can be very nerve racking.
